Online education
You can have an access to the course material any time. It is convenient for working people and parents with little kids;
You can read the material from anywhere. It is good for people living far from university;
The opportunity to work in your own pace. Some students need more time to understand the material. And they may get stressed in a traditional classroom.
You can make revisions as often as you want. It is rather difficult to remember a classroom discussion or lecture, but to watch videos or read a forum post over and over again cannot be a problem.
Traditional classroom education
You have regular schedule. You have to attend classes at a certain time and place. It helps people organize themselves and their time.
You have regular discussions with the professor. It’s easier to ask questions when you have an opportunity to communicate with the professor face to face. If you don’t understand something during the lecture or class, you can ask a question by raising your hand, or you may stay after the class and talk with the professor on the matter you have difficulty in.
You experience peer interaction. Without communicating face to face with your classmates, it is difficult to discuss material and assist each other. Online forum is not the same as group sessions late at night.
You focus better on the material. It’s easier to focus on the material in a classroom, because you have lots of destructions, such as music, TV, family members and simply the desire to lie down and sleep.
