A sales team sets out on a sales trip plan to identify and convince prospects to work with them. The sales team consists of two members; the destination management company’s sales director and the sales manager of Waldorf Astoria hotel. This is the selected destination in Orlando.
Waldorf Astoria Orlando is a magnificent tourism and business destination located in central Florida. The hotel offers satisfaction in comfort, luxury and is convenient compared to others around the same area. It offers free Wi-Fi internet connection, a pool, an exercise gym and boasts of a 18 hole golf course. It is a non smoking zone, has a big dining restaurant and room service. The hotel also provides a spacious business center and conference facilities for business meetings and has wheel chair access for the physically challenged.
Waldorf Astoria Orlando is located close to Orlando international airport and Orlando exec airport. It is surrounded by interesting places like sea world Adventure Park, Orlando convention center, Malibu grand prix, universal studio Florida and Walt Disney world.
The targeted budget for the trip is $ 5200. Air tickets from Orlando to Atlanta Georgia to cost $240 each for one way this in total will cost $960 for both to and fro using south west airlines, and a total of $896 for South Carolina. Since it’s a four days trip, accommodation in the hotel to cost each member $279 per night for four nights that will be $2232 total. Taxi or car rental will be necessary for easy mobility from place to place. The car rental will cost $ 29 per day plus an additional $ 5 dollars packing fee, this will amount to $ 136 for the 4 days. A meal for each member is budget at $ 50 a day that’s $ 100 for both and $ 400 for 4 days in total. Clients’ entertainment and meals during the meetings is to be paid for by the team. This will cost $ 280 inclusive of their entertainment and $ 90 in form of gifts. Brochures and other sales materials necessary for the trip will cost $ 60 and the gifts to clients will include labeled t shirts and caps. The collateral cost and miscellaneous assigned to take $ 70 of the budgeted amount.
The prospects identified are; Coca cola, delta airlines, SunTrust banks, Newell Rubbermaid and Mohawk industries all in Atlanta Georgia. Other prospects are in South Carolina and they include: BMW Manufacturers, Boeing commercial airplanes manufacturers, Michelin north America Inc and GE Power and water inc.
Schedule
Day one team leaves Orlando for Atlanta Georgia, meets with prospects from coca cola industries for lunch between 12 noon and 2 pm, then delta airlines between 4pm and 6 pm and later SunTrust banks for dinner between 7.30pm and 9 pm.
Day 2 the team meets prospects from Newell Rubbermaid for lunch and Mohawk industries for dinner then checks back in their hotel to prepare for day 3 in South Carolina.
Day 3 travel to South Carolina and meet prospects from BMW manufacturers for lunch, then GE power and water and later Boeing commercial airplanes manufacturers for dinner.
Day 4 the team meets prospects from Michelin North America Inc for lunch and finally Kraft foods group, Inc for dinner.
The goals for this trip are to convince prospects to hold their business meetings at Waldorf Astoria Orlando and also work with the destination management company as their agent. The outcome for this trip is expected to be increased customer base for Waldorf Astoria hotel with relations with the identified prospects.
