The bible has various information and guidance in relation to business. It is worth noting that many Biblical verses share a lot of insights about the business. In most cases, caring out business is very complex, and biblical context business and business activities have existed for many years. The bible provides insights that could probably apply to business related purpose, ultimate values, guidance, knowledge, as well as context. According to the book of Isaiah, it is evident that the thoughts of the Lord are above human ways (Holy Bible). This implies that the business guidance needs to depend on the thoughts of the Lord. There is nothing that is above the Lord.
The fear of the lord plays a crucial role in business. This is because the actions carried out by men in businesses need to show love, obedience, and service to the Lord. All this is achieved, by the way, people relate to their fellow human beings. It is worth noting that loving and obeying the lord is essential for the business. It ensures that all the business activities undertaken are within the commands and laws of God. Loving God and our neighbors are the greatest command that ensures that the business activities are guided and streamlined by love.
It is worth noting that the Bible focuses on glorifying the Lord in all the activities people do. On the same note, acting justly forms the basis of business activities in every society. The Lord demands people to work in a prudent manner. The treasures of the world are not worth, but it is only worth if it is stored in the presence of God (Holy Bible). The business carried out on earth should be placed in God’s hands and used to serve the Kingdom of God. It is impossible to serve money and God, but, in carrying out business, God should be the ultimate person served and all other things will follow. The activities undertaken in business should be part of living sacrifice to the lord.
The Bible is so categorical in people who focus on doing good. The issue of bribes should not be part of the business and helping the needy should always be a work of sacrifice. Walking righteously, and rejecting extortion also forms the basis of business activities. In the general perspective, the Bible has insights that are applicable to business related context, values, knowledge, guidance, as well as purpose.
