Proposal for Community Service Centers
After conducting a research throughout our community, we have established that the community members have diverse needs that have not been met. The security in the community has proved insufficient. People’s lives are not as easier as they would wish it would be.
After considering several options to be solutions to this problem, we have settled in a Community Service Centre, which we present to you in this proposal. We have found out that developing these centers in various selected areas within our community; we could succeed in educating the community members for service advocacy and leadership, lifelong volunteerism, and civic responsibility. We also seek to increase awareness of community needs, opportunities and resources for social problem solving. Additionally, we plan to incorporate a security office, a kids’ playground with nanny care service and a mini market.

Abstract
Our community has in the past experienced several problems to include insecurity, lack of pleasure, which has led to harsh living conditions in this respect; we conducted an extensive research and came out with findings that helped us to establish the best ways to solve the community problems. After consolidating ideas, we found out several proposals. We evaluated these proposals and found out that developing Community Service Centers would be the best solution to these problems. In these Community Service Centers, we found out that incorporating a kids’ playground with a nanny care service would be a great idea in solving the problem related to children. Additionally, we would incorporate a security office charged with the responsibility of overseeing the security of the neighborhoods and a mini market. All these efforts are aimed ensuring safety of the community members in their neighborhoods, meeting their basic needs and making their lives easier by giving them pleasure. In this proposal, we will go through the statement of the problem where we will describe the project, its benefits and needs. We will also give the plan, objectives and methods in our proposal.
Introduction
Overview
The purpose of this proposal is to establish Community Service Centers that contain kids’ playground with a nanny a nanny care service, a mini market, and a security office. These Community Service Centers will be developed in selected neighborhoods. The selection process will be discussed later in this proposal.
Background
Our youth group was established in February 2011 under the constitutional provisions for starting up a youth group. We are a government-registered movement that has been true to their mission and vision. Our mission is to ensure the community members enjoy their lives’ basic needs and ensuring their safety. We also seek to foster community participation in order to reduce dependency. Our vision is to see the safety in the neighborhoods and improved living standards of the community members.
Statement of the problem
Since children lack proper playing grounds, they play in dangerous and unpleasant places such as forests with wild animals and rugged land, which endanger their lives. Additionally, they play in the streets that are at times busy with traffic. The security level of the community has also drastically reduced due to the insufficient community security officers. Finally, we have realized that the community members do not have any activity that they would derive pleasure from them, therefore, they are not living a fulfilling life; the nearest mini market, which is shared by the neighborhoods, is inaccessible by some community neighborhoods.
After conducting an extensive research, we found out that the aforementioned issues cause problems of different levels in the community. Some of the problems that we were able to figure out include the following
- Children get bad influence from the streets where they play and stand the risk of suffering injuries and even attacked by wild animals from the forests
- These children waste their talents and most of the time they do not discover these hidden talents
- People live in fear since the insecurity level has drastically increased
- Parents are having hard times balancing their time for work and the young children at home
- People lack certain basic needs in the community that could be provided by availing a mini shop within the neighborhoods
Objectives
The main objective of this project is to ensure that the kids have a safer place to play and display their talents with the guidance of their nannies, who will be responsible for taking care of the little kids and controlling the behavior and conduct of the elderly kids. The project has an objective of fostering voluntary security into the community. We would wish to include the community members to participate in ensuring they live in a safer environment with starting bringing the youth to volunteer in the security department, however, we have plans of employing security personnel when we shall have the funds to finance this adventure. Finally, we have the idea of having mini shops within these Community Service Centers that will provide the goods that the community members would have otherwise travelled longer distances to acquire. Most importantly, we wish to develop these Community Service Centers in selected neighborhoods as will be considered appropriate by the group members.

Needs
The needs that we seek to address in this proposal include security needs, economic needs and social welfare. We seek to bring a solution to the living standards of the community members by bringing closer to them mini shops that will be stocked with the basic goods that they need to live pleasant lives. Socially, we seek to bring the children together in a friendly environment where they would eventually mix with their mates and display their talents as they are assisted to develop on the already discovered talents.
In order to commence our project, the basic requirements include fields where these Community Service Centers will be constructed and the personnel to run these centers as the basic requirements.
