3. Everman is a sequencer; he wholeheartedly followed one career path, then a second, and a third. He’s a different kind of sequencer than the more standard version: a man or woman following a single main career path interrupts it to do something else (have a child, start a small company, travel around the world) and then returns to the old job.
a. What’s the difference between these two kinds of sequencing in terms of the value of work and what it can give you?
The difference between this two sequencing is that, in the case of Everman she follows three careers which help her realize her dreams. She struggles with jobs trying to make her life better without counting on challenges but focusing on the future goal. This kind of job will enable her achieve high goals and develop her dreams. On the other hand, Cobian uses only one version of working without thinking of its consequences. He makes his decision without looking at the negative side thus making him go round at the same cycle. This kind of job gives disappointment in future.
b. Would it be useful to have different names for these two types of sequencers, or would that be splitting hairs?
Yes, it would be useful to give different names to the two types of sequencers in order to help other working individual realize the advantages and disadvantages of practicing one of this sequencer.
4. According to Everman, Cellini believed that in order to live a full life, you must develop each of the soul’s three parts: the artist, the warrior, and the philosopher. Assuming this is true; must it necessarily involve one’s work life? Is it possible to define a full life that doesn’t include any reference to your gainful employment (in other words, is it possible to live fully without worrying about what your job is)? What values for work are implied by your response? Yes, it must involve one’s work life in order to remain focus and determined. No, it’s not possible to live without worrying about your job. This will help you overcome challenges that can hinder you from achieving you goal. It also gives confidence to try as much jobs as possible so as to develop your career plus try your luck. By this responds, work should be put into consideration for the sake of our own life and community.
