For 29 year, Hong Kong Ocean Park has been the leading entertainment resort in Hong Kong. Its success has been as a result of various improvements done by its top management to ensure it’s the sole point where people can enjoy quality holiday. However, there is emergence of a new competitor. The competitor is not an ordinary player but the leading firm in the world of entertainment. Walt Disney is virtually known by all households. This poses as serious challenge to the firm thus the management has embarked on numerous improvement procedures in readiness for the arrival of Disneyland in Hong Kong.
The company success has been as result of various undertakings. The firm took a brand repositioning proves to make more visitors aware of their services thus increased revenues. In addition, the firm used HK$70 to revamp its products and acquired new assets to be used as attraction area. However, Ocean Park has faced stiff constraints in areas such as;
- Shortage of labor to undertake its activities
- Conservative staff who do not adapt to changes easily
- High operational cost of the company

Ocean Park should conduct human resource development process to ensure quality service es are availed to clients.
Justification
It has been noted that the resort lacks enough staff to attend to its increased volume of visitors. The staff also objects any change that is proposed by the management maybe due lack of skills to effectively handle the changes.

Justification
HK Ocean Park has done pretty well in the previous year and can use its available funds effectively to confront competition from Disneyland Park. Disneyland is a financially sound competitor thus coping with such competition would call on the use of a lot of funds.
Recommendation
HK Ocean Park can employ the resources it has to effectively sustain its market by ensuring a professional workforce with optimum resource allocation.
