Personality disorders: paranoid, schizoid, schizotypal, histrionic, narcissistic, borderline, antisocial, dependent and obsessive-compulsive
Donna
Donna has histrionic personality disorder. She used dramatic tactics to gain the attention of everyone at the party, such as boasting about being an actress and pretending to faint.
William
William has schizotypal personality disorder. He expressed beliefs and behaviors that were seen as odd and strange by everyone else, such as talking about negative forces and psychic soul-spot.
Sherry
Sherry has borderline personality disorder. She suffered from emotional instability, dramatic changes in mood, and impulsive behavior. She also demonstrated para-suicidal behavior as she took aspirin in a weak attempt to harm herself, which is characteristic of this disorder.
Winston
Winston has narcissistic personality disorder. As is seen in this trait, he seemed to be self-absorbed, interested in no one but himself, and had beliefs of his own grandiosity, evident by his talk of his Mercedes car and trip to Europe. He also showed a lack of empathy, when criticizing the other woman’s dress, and intolerant of others’ perspectives, as he would not apologize.
Peter
Peter has obsessive-compulsive personality disorder. He showed an extreme level of punctuality and need for perfection with timing of all his activities. He was also obsessed with completing his work alone, rather than staying at the party some more to have fun.
Doreen
Doreen has paranoid personality disorder. She tended to avoid people and hesitated going to the party as she distrusted everyone. She also had the odd belief that the others at the party had negative intentions towards her – to spy on her.
Harold
Harold has schizoid personality disorder. He appears detached and aloof from social interactions such as this party, as no one knows him well, and he rarely talks to anyone. He expresses only a few types of emotion, and is a ‘loner’.
