The two are much related in that one leads to another. Every action carried out by a human being has a result. What happens as the result is the effect while the reason behind it is the cause. Actions have consequences that portray a certain lesson at the end. Others would have rewards come along with it. People engage in certain activities in order to satisfy their individual desires. This means that there is a driving force which is the reason to carry out the activity and an awaited result which is the effect.
The effect maybe consequential and it can also be beneficial. Consequential effects are caused by unconstructive actions. A good example is the view of the aftermath of a prolonged consumption of drugs. There are various reasons for the consumption of drugs as there are effects of its consumption. Causes of drug consumption could include influence of peer pressure, low-self-esteem, and depression due to family conflict. The following effects would include harmful health, heavy penalties from the government policies.
Beneficial effects can only be realized by engaging in productive activities. This is evident from school curriculum where the activities involved lead to the development of students. In lessons students are able to learn and recognize the cause and effect interaction within and between sentences that make a short paragraph. Therefore there are able to improve their writing skills and comprehension ability. Through the social skills that they learn in schools, students are able to understand that every action will have an effect on them (Warrick).
