The primary reason for work is to support oneself in pursuing professional goals. As one anticipated my first paycheck, I envisioned purchasing items that I previously dreamed of; one of which was the latest smartphone and some cool outfits which I will use at work. I anticipated that with the current wage rates, I would be earning a defined amount which is enough to spend for these goods. Hard work and job well done is aptly compensated with the provision of my very first paycheck.
Upon receipt of my check, I was correct in receiving the amount that was expected. As such, according to plans, I initially apportioned 10% of the money as savings for future educational needs. Since, I was so elated when I received my first paycheck, I invited my very best friend for a special treat: quick snacks at our favorite restaurant and a good movie. Likewise, the rest were spent on the smartphone and the outfits for work. Of course, I still had more than enough to cover my daily expenses until the next payday.
Overall, pay was acknowledged to be a motivator for work. As one received the very first paycheck, it was realized that this was just the beginning of a lifetime of challenges and rewards.
