Education, as we all perceive is a template to a future we all want. The question why we all go to school or attend college can be sophisticated depending on the perception of the audience. When you look at schools and colleges around, you appreciate how education is taken as a thing for not only the intelligent or the capable, but for all. Interestingly, each individual is presented with the chance to learn in at least one or two institutions with other students. However, this does not mean that you all have the same perception of education. It means that, on an average basis, each individual is presented with a learning ecosystem for exploitation, what matters is to what degree you utilize your position as a student. A score of individuals have passed through this level in the ladder of education and you as the student, should not mind to ask what it took to see them off as examples of success? Do you ask yourselves what it takes to be a step ahead of your class? All these questions are best answered by the term “change”. We all have aspects of change within our conscience; however, the diversity in our characteristics of change is the main factor that makes you different from your friend or any other individual. As a matter of fact, it is the tool that shapes all lists of performances in a class.
It matters not, what you perceive right now with respect to what level others are. We all say that the sky is the limit. Does this give you the determination required to make you that student that the tutor or teacher talks about every time in class? The answer is no. You have to change your actions and strategies to gear yourself beyond the sky. It does not matter what aspect of change you embrace, ultimately the positivity in the new you will distinguish you from others in the same class. Therefore, upholding the virtue of change does not only apply to your strategies but is also unique to attitude. Your attitude towards a certain subject determines how much effort you accord the subject. It is a logical fact that the more time and attention you delegate to something, the better you get in terms of performance. That is the normal and natural characteristic we all share.
Visualize the case of a student who attends lectures and writes notes without a conscience on why he does this and compare with one who can table all the reasons why he is in a certain class and following a particular proceeding. All these students are in class doing the same thing but have different attitudes on the same. The logical explanation to the difference in their performance scripts is the percentage of the mind one accords to every action. What I mean is you need to embrace positive change in how you conduct yourself, not only towards class activities, but on a general ground. As a matter of fact, how you conduct yourself out there determines how you will be able to hold yourself in class. How you balance your activities, given that every individual in a higher learning institution is assumed to be mature enough, determines the overall mark you get.
It is necessary for a student who still hopes to further his/her education through practical or theoretical grounds to learn to change according to circumstances. What we all concur with is that different learning institutions present students with different environments and challenges. You as the student should be able to change your schedules and ideologies to suit the current learning circumstances. For instance, you might be the first in your family to ever join a university, what challenges does this situation present to you? Actually, the question should be how best can you work to change the perception of education in your family? How best can you present yourself as an example for other members of your family to emulate? All these questions are answered simply by changing. First you need to characterize yourself as a tool for change then work towards maintaining that status.
Virtually everything you buy from shops and supermarkets have at least something to prove that somebody somewhere made an effort to avail the product at your disposal. What I mean is that almost everything has a default setting, how you manipulate a product determines how best it can serve its purpose. Bring this argument in your educational lives, try to pretend that every student in any institution has a default setting and how he/she changes this determines the performance value he/she gets. In that context, education can be valued not by how knowledgeable one is, but by how much an individual can change to suit learning processes. What I present to you is not only a tool for good performance, but also a tool for greater achievements in life. Do not let education change you, change to heighten your reasoning.
