The sushi restaurant is a new restaurant that will open in China then open in London, Leister Square. A team of qualified personnel will plan on the opening of the new restaurant, attracting customers and discuss on the cost incurred for opening the new project.
The initial step to the creation of the new restaurant will be creating a business plan (Rainsford, & Bangs, 2000, pp.4). In the business plan, a brief description of the business will be outlined, the objectives of the business and how long it will take to open up the new restaurant.
The location of the business has to be considered when opening a new (Barrow, & Brown, 1998, pp.12). The restaurant will be situated in Beijing. Location of where the new restaurant will be located is important since the restaurant has to be situated in the busiest part of the town. The reason for this location is to make sure that the restaurant has a ready market s as to avoid losses. The restaurant should also be located in an area where it is easily seen by the customers preferably the ground floor.
Highly qualified chefs will be employed (Miller, 2010, pp.8). Chefs preferably those with experience with working in a hotel or restaurant should be sourced from China. Chinese chefs are the ones considered since the restaurant will be selling Chinese-made food and drinks. The menu should also be kept simple so that the customers are not confused. Sushi restaurant will specialize in the making of Chinese foods. The restaurant will also specialize in one kind of food that it will sell at a higher price to the consumer than the other types (Lee, 2006, pp.6).
A restaurant manager will be employed to oversee things in the restaurant (Lee, 2006, pp.6). He will be the one paying the employees and collecting money to put in the bank. He will also be the person responsible for the recruitment, hiring, and firing of employees. The manager must also update the owners of the business every two weeks to make sure everything is going smoothly. Food delivery will also be one of the tasks in which the manager oversees. A couple of motorbikes and a van will be purchased so as to deliver the food to the customers who want home delivery. The lorry will, therefore, be used for transporting supplies from the place in which they are bought to the restaurant.
The restaurant will then expand to London where it will open its second branch. A new team of employees will be hired. The London restaurant will serve both Chinese food and English food to make sure it attracts all types of customers. The theme color for the restaurant will be red for all the branches of the restaurant. The red color in Chinese tradition is mainly associated with good luck. The coloring and design of the restaurant should also be attractive.
Low prices and offers will first be offered to customers to attract them (Cannon, 2005, pp.3). After getting a reliable customer base, the restaurant management will then increase the prices of the products. Gift certificates will also be given to customers as a promotion method (Cannon, 2005, pp.4). The open kitchen trend will also be used. The method involves the chefs cooking in an open kitchen so that customers can see. People from outside will also see the cooking and will be attracted inside.
The restaurant should pick up when these strategies are incorporated. The necessary legal documents will be sought before the start of the project to avoid problems with the government.
