Introduction
The event that I will; be hosting is summer football, which will be held at Lincoln High School, Brooklyn New York (Solomon, 2002). The selection of this location is mainly due to it accessibility, facility and security. The tournament will last for four days and will involve twenty teams from around New York with a guest appearance of Chelsea junior team from London.
The school has adequate facilities to hold the teams during training and enough to handle the game. It has two big football pitches that can be used for the games; this will enable the games to take place within the stipulated time without hindrances. The school gym is adequate to hold the teams in sessions and we can still use the county gym, which is not far from the school.
The New York Police Department has agreed to collaborate with the school security department in enhancing the safety of the players, staff and fans. This will be through scrutinizing at the entrance and maintaining 24 hours patrol (Cliath, 2012). They will also be in charge of vehicle and human traffic entering the school to minimize the likelihood of accidents. Brooklyn hospital will provide health services in collaboration with the school health personnel.
There are adequate hotels to offer foods and drinks, breakfast and lunch, to the fans and the players. In the course of the tournament, the school has put in place water outlets that will be selling water at a friendly price. The sanitary facilities are enough to facilitate the big population and they are divided according to gender.
The entrance to the tournament will be free so that it can attract many fans to make the tournament cheerful and lively (Cliath, 2012). The guest team will play the first game with the host team as a curtain raiser and before the semifinals and finally with the best eleven of the tournament.
