The god loves to see the people living with peace, love, brotherhood and humanity in his created world. God has prescribed several ways so that people can attain the goals set for them and to believe in each other while performing all the tasks and living in this world.. Christ has suggested every body to follow a path that is related to god and not one which is misleading or not sacred. According to Jesus, this path is for everybody and every human being should follow it irrespective of what they believe in or what their culture is. In this paper, we would talk about Jesus Christ’s opinion about Christianity, several related aspects of the Christianity and its interpretation by people as per their own thinking and justifications.
In West Nickel Mines Amish School in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, USA, a heinous crime of killing four girls was reported on 2nd October of the year 2006. In this incident, a Christian group came into news which is known for its old traditional and radical views. Amish strongly believe in the ordnung which is a set of some written rules and as per Amish this is not only very sacred book but also carries the guidelines for every occasion as what has to be performed at a particular time.
In every society and belief there are people who have their different opinion as against the established views of that religion or faith. Amish also have different opinion about their belief, their lifestyle and do not like any kind of interventions in the same by any outsider. They believe that the technology has caused a number of complexities in the society and people, who use it, are very selfish and somehow they are trying to interfere in the god made rules. Their thoughts, lifestyle, philosophy, everything is uncommon and indicates about their traditional and radical way to see the people and life.
Amish are ardent believer of Jacob Amman, a preacher of Switzerland, who has written and compiled several ethical rules and strongly believed in customary rules and lifestyle. Jacob advocated that the education is only required for a man to judge what is right and what is not in the interest of a man and also that a man should believe in traditional and natural ways in stead of using technology. Interestingly there are Amish families who do not use electricity, telephones and other fundamental amenities without which a common man can not even imagine to survive. They use baggy driven by horse and not use bus, car, trains to travel. In this small community the teenagers are not encouraged to pursue their higher study and only basic education is made available to the Amish children. The family and society is very traditional, women are not allowed to participate in any outdoor activities and they spend their life inside the house. They look after the house and children while the male members are involved in farming and outdoor activities.
God has decided something for everybody and the Amish believes that what they are doing is the best way to attain their goals of life. They simply do not want to be changed just because the world expects them to be changed. They are still living the life which is seen in Hindus centuries back. They do not like to dispute anything of their life, their thinking, their belief and they are keen to make it simple and the way they are seeing it from centuries.
Christianity as a religion believes in adaptability and it gives space to others as well as accepts the things which are necessary or the demand of the time. Nothing but the quality has made it the world’s largest religion and spread into every part of the earth. Adaptability is necessary to move ahead and sustain in odd circumstances but if someone is not ready to adapt the things according to the time, it is also according to the wish of the god. The only condition that should be followed in every circumstance is that the human beings should not be involved in any kind of illegal and sinful work and should always have the good feelings for every body.
God loves those who believe in him and have good feelings for the humans and humanity. The ways may be different but the motive is always the one and this is the welfare of the humanity following the path of religion, truth and god. Amish strongly believe in their principles and sayings of Jacob Ammann and their belief in Jacob’s guideleines is beyond any doubt. This makes them unique and close to god. Amish follow a series of rules which can not be justified by easily but this is what makes them unique and going.
The ultimate goal of the life for the people in this world should be spending their time according to the ways prescribed by the god and that is following love, peace and the humanity. God never wants people to practice anything which are against the humanity and this principle of life has nothing much to do with the ways or how it is being done; the only concern is the motive of the doer or follower. If the objective is good and according to the prescribed ways by the god, rest things are automatically executed and justified. Christianity or the ways of Amish people every way goes to the almighty god, if practiced with good motive and God is not with those who pretend to do something and their real intention or working is something else but god is with the people, who believe in themselves and move ahead with pure motives.
