Parents Should Be Happy To Raise Their Kids Essay Samples

With ages, we start to realize all our mistakes and things which we thought were right in the past. Sometimes we can be selfish and ignore the fact of our wrong actions. Some people need to go through hard time and come to have an awareness of reality. All we had something in the past, when we were like the prisoner chained up in a cave, but later we always turned head to see all this.
I thought that children should have both parents to be happy. But there are many other things which are important too. And I was affected by one thing and changed my mind. My mom is a housewife, she always was at home, so dad was a support of family. I always thought that my father is the most honest and kind person. He was like a hero for me. I wanted to be like him.
However, when I was in middle school, I recognized that dad did the wrong thing, my mom caught him on the date with another woman. I didn’t think about it like about a big problem. I was a kid and all what made me afraid was that mom can divorce with dad. Because, if she did it, I would have to go to the countryside to my grandparents and live with them. But I didn’t want, because I liked to live here. And I was ashamed of thought that people will laugh if they know the terrible thing about my family.
Although, dad loved me and my sister, he tried to give us everything we wanted, but stopped paying attention to mom. Even if he cheated on her, sometimes they argued and started to fight, I loved both of them and didn’t want them to divorce. One day, after dad picked up the phone in the middle of the night, he went away, leaving my mom crying in bed alone. She already knew where he went. She knew that he was unfaithful, but continued to be with him because she thought that her children deserve to have both parents. She believed that did the right thing.
The first time, when father cheated on her, she was pregnant with me. He wasn’t near her when she fainted, so my grandparents had to take her to hospital. After that he begged her for forgiveness and promised that he won’t do this again. As my mother didn’t want to raise a child alone, she forgave him.
Everyone makes mistakes in their life and sometimes forgiveness is one of the worst. My dad didn’t change, so mom was very disappointed. Of course, I understand her. A woman who recently found out that her husband cheated on her, will always suffer emotionally from that. It was hard for me to understand them, because I love both parents. But I proud of my mom that she made a sacrifice for us.
For me, my mother is the strongest person. Mom taught me that traditional Vietnamese woman shouldn’t marry in 2nd time. She told me that woman has to do everything for her family, even if she has such problems like this she has to endure for her children despite of unhappy marriage.
I agree with mother, if a woman hasn’t worked, she hasn’t a voice in a family. When I was 18-19 years old I realized that my dad did wrong things and it was unacceptable to my mom. I was disappointed because of him. So I had the strength to tell him about it. I said that I can’t live in a such family. I knew it was cruel to tell this to father, but I think I did a right gesture.
Then my mom found a mistress and fell in love with him. I found out it and was angry because I thought that she couldn’t be so happy with another man. I continued to believe that she and my dad will be happy. After that, she stopped to keep in touch with her man. Afterwards, I tried to commit a suicide because of this. I was miscommunicated with parents for a period of time and decided to go to study abroad. I thought it was the best decision. Despite the fact that mother doesn’t work, she used her saved money in 20 years, which gave the father to for my study in the USA for 5 years. She told me that she doesn’t want me to be like her and I have to have a better future.
A woman has to have a job and takes care of herself. She has to live her life right and with joy. She has to find her Mr. Right who makes her life better. I know I was wrong and sometimes selfish, but I love both parents. My dad takes care about me and my sister, he loves us, but sometimes I feel a little bit upset because of mom. She did a lot of good and useful things for us, but didn’t do anything for herself. And when I came to the USA I understood that I was wrong and had to let my mother find her happiness. But I was so egoistic and didn’t think about her. So now I realize that parents should be happy to raise their kids.
Once, I’ve heard a story of psychologist on the radio. He told about the emergency situation in the airplane, “place the oxygen mask on yourself first before helping small children or others who may need your assistance”. At first I didn’t pay attention to these words. After a while I thought about one thing: why don’t we think about children like about our future, that we have to do all possible things for them? Of course, relatives try to do it, but they always forget about something. Their children will be happy, if their parents are happy. So they have to start from themselves. And emergency rules are like the example. If you are not ready and not in safe, so how could you help other people? How could you help your own children if you don’t have a life which you want? You can’t think just about another, you have to think about yourself at first. So now I realize that parents should be happy to raise their kids.
