In present times, people tend to make difficult choices between city and a countryside. Sometimes, it is rather difficult to make this very choice. This essay is aimed on showing my attitude to both of the options and making a choice.
Both living in a city or a countryside has its own advantages and disadvantages. However, every person is willing to make one’s own decision. In my opinion, living in a city is much better than living in a countryside. Living in a city means that a person will be in the center of cultural events: there are art galleries, cinema and concert halls, and theatres. Moreover, people can visit zoos, go skating or skiing whenever they want. On the contrary, in a countryside a person do not have any opportunity for entertainment except for having a walk or staying home. Some may say that it is much better, a person has the opportunity to mediate and unite mentally with the nature. However, in my opinion, it is boring to leave alone in a countryside and not to have the opportunity to go out with friends and self develop when visiting galleries or theatres.
Another reason why I choose living in a city is that there are more possibilities to find job. Most of young people prefer to study such occupations that are impossible to be implemented in a countryside. Hence, it will be rather difficult for them to find a job. Besides, when living in a big city, a young person will have more opportunities to choose from. As well as an experienced and high skilled specialist will have a wide variety of companies to choose. On the contrary, when living in a countryside, a person will need to adjust one’s skills to his or hers needs. Besides, if a person finds job in a city, he or she will need to drive to work every morning and come back every evening. This takes not only time but money for gas as well.
In a city, there are more possibilities to meet new friends. The point is that when living in a small village, a person does not have the opportunity to meet new people. The point is that if a person lives in a countryside for a long time, he or she knows everyone in the village. It becomes uninteresting anymore to communicate with most of them. On the contrary, when living in a city, a person can easily make friends simply by visiting a gallery or even a café. Besides, a person can make friends at work. It is better to make business in a big city as well.
This essay was aimed on showing that living in a city is much better than living in a countryside. In this paper I have proved that when a person lives in a city, he or she has more opportunities for work, entertainment and self development. As for me, I would like to live in a big city to feel all the rush, all the life that is present there. It is no doubt that some people prefer living in a countryside because it is calm there and they are not willing to be in the noisy city. In my opinion, living in a city brings a person many opportunities for self development. Moreover, I think that only living in a big city can show the fullness of life.
