Election is a political process that happens in every society that embraces democracy. Therefore, the right to vote is an enshrinement that every citizen; upon fulfillment of certain conditions, is entitled and has an obligation to exercise. My topic on civil engagement is on voter turnout as a measure to ensuring that democracy is manifested through the ballot.
Voter turnout is a critical element to elections and every leader who is elected through the ballot hold ransom to the number of voters who turn out and vote during the election period. Thus, a good election is indispensible of the voter turnout, which should be high (Klofstad 25). In addition, a higher voter turnout is a reminiscence of the democratic voice echoed by the people.
In order to educate the electorate son the importance of turning out in large numbers during the process, I will locate my site of operation so strategically so that I could tap the highest number of people. In the first accord, I intend to locate a central office within a nearby town, and have other operations logistically coordinated from the main branch. The operationalization of the voter education in the importance of voter turnout shall take effect as soon as all logistical branches have been established, and enough acquisition of roadshow trucks has been made (Klofstad 46).
However, the main operational base to this process shall focus on the streets, where large numbers will be garnered. Organization and arrangement of this event will equally attract the intervention of the local leaders for the sake of mobilization of the crowd during the event. Thus, the main site for this event will be in the local neighborhood where we intend to have the maximum sensitization to the public about voter turnout. In addition, this event will flourish alongside the integration of social institutions and their leaders.
