The company has a benefit of having many brands and the company could be advertising their less popular drinks (Darroch, 2009).
The major threats are health conscious among the people and competition. Even though the Coca Cola control nearly 40% of the entire beverage, market the changing health consciousness attitude of the market might have a severe effect on the company. Therefore, this definitely might be a dominant threat. In the current world we are people are constantly trying their best level to change their drinking habit as well as eating (Lawrence, & Weber, 2013).
This could directly affect the sale of coca cola’s products. Many people may try hard to exploit the unhealthy side of the company’s products and could threaten the success of sales and the status of the Coca Cola Company. Another possible threat that the can confront the company is the issue of the legal side of things. Because of this, there are always issues with a company o s such supreme popularity and wealth. One might find a fault within the company just to put it down. The company must be careful with lawsuits (Mehlman, 2006).
The third threat is the competition from the other company such as Pepsi. Other products that might be threats are juices, milk and coffee. Since these beverage options might take precedent in some people’s mind instead of the coca cola’s beverages hence be a threat to potential success in it presents. All these threats result to decreasing gross profit and net profit margins.
