Psychological perspective: Cognitive Perspective.
Thesis Statement: This paper will analyze the specific factors that cause depression according to the cognitive theory, the development process of depression and the cognitive therapy that can be used to treat depression.

c) Individual’s appraisal of the event causing depression.
4) 4th paragraph- Cognitive therapy for the treatment of depression
a) Developing of one’s skills as a method of curing depression.
b) Elimination of negative thoughts and engaging in positive activities
c) Use of positive reinforcement as a measure of treating depression.
5) Conclusion
In conclusion, the cognitive perspective involves evaluating an individual’s point of view in order to understand the reasons behind his/her behavior or actions. Depression may result from personal belief, ideas, desires, knowledge level and motivations. Cognitive therapy can be used to treat depression by developing by eliminating negative thoughts, enhancing in positive activities and positive reinforcement.
