Every individual in society belong to the specific community. It is worth noting that being part of community develops a sense of identity. There are various components that describe the community that I belong. Some of this imperative features include race, medical, ethnicity, income, religion, education, socialization, geography, security, environmental interest, as well as self-help groups. The community is made up vibrant and amazing individuals, which is made of strong leaders, professionals, and athletics. The youth in the community socializes through sports. In fact, the most sport that brings both male and female youth is football. The sports tend to bring people together. Most of the people in the community are professional’s and work in different institutions. Those who go to work are commuters. On the same note, most women focus on their careers, which makes both men and women in families’ breadwinners. The community is made of middle-class people, but there are few homeless individuals.
Christianity is the main religion in the community. On Sundays, individuals visit churches for the better part of the day. Those who do not go to church on Sundays opt to pray at home. Religion plays a critical role in society because it brings hope and unity. Apart from employment, people in society earn their income through farming. Dairy and coffee farming is the main source of income. Community awareness is carried out through public gathering and media. A public gathering is streamlined towards discussing important issues that affect the community. Elders are the main participant during a public gathering. Also, the community has leaders that govern various institutions. Each institution is meant to promote peacefully, just, secure, and transparent society (Work Ventures). The elders are responsible for security planning and decision making. In every neighborhood, there are security teams that ensure that the community is secure. Criminals in the community are punished by the elders. Analytically, the community set up enhances human rights, equitable treatment, and fair allocation of resources.

Based on social justice perspective, there are various changes that would make the community better. Social justice in the community increases economic, social and political opportunities. The population in the community is tremendously increasing. The increase in population demands changes in the residential developments. For social justice to be achieved, the leaders of the community should focus on increasing recreational facilities and infrastructure. The housing system should change to fit the increasing number of people. Also, the housing planning should be aligned with other services to accommodate the new developments. Some of the services include sewer system and roads. The security issue in the community needs to change to ensure that all people enjoy their rights and freedoms (Cannon 2009). The security measures should be undertaken by all members of the community. Security stakeholder needs to change the way security and punishment are administered. Some of the changes include the creation of community policing system. There are occasions whereby trust between the security officers and citizens had been lost. The best way to reinstate confidence is through community policing.
Also, the employment strategies need to change to enhance social justice. Employment in a community is a necessity, but it becomes a challenge when the society has not implemented policies to meet the rising population. In my community, most of the youth are unemployed (Calderón & Corrigan 2007). Another thing that should change is the academic institutions. The community has not established stable schools that are sufficient. New schools should be built and human resource personnel enrolled in all institutions.
There are less fortunate people in the community. Poverty forces some children, men and women, to make a living by picking rubbish. These individuals in the neighborhood pick and sell metals, papers, and plastics. This situation should change in the community. This is because such people do not access education, sanitation, healthcare and clean water. The development projects in the community should meet the demands of the poor (Rice 2009). These include the development of social protection schemes. Championing for the less fortunate in the community has not been an option. Therefore, this should change in the community to make it better.
The decision-making process in the community is made by the elders. This process should change because the opinions of the people should count. Democracy needs to be incorporated in society. The youth, women and children, need to be involved in the community. Such change enhances social justice in the community.

The change that takes place in the community would make it more socially just. The change improves the standard of living and enhances distribution of resources. The imbalance in the community indicates that the community has not achieved the highest level of social justice. After the changes have taken place, the people who are poor in society will have an opportunity to access basic needs. In fact, the resources will be distributed equally among all members of society. Some of the issues that will affect the community include improved health care, access to education and security (The Change Agency). Also, the changes improve security in the neighborhoods. Increased employment opportunities ensure that people in society can meet their needs. The society will be satisfied with equal measures. In a critical analysis, inequalities in the community are accepted, but the changes ensure that there is fair equality of opportunities and equal opportunity principle.
Respect for human rights is a component that is achieved through the changes made in the community. More social just society is characterized by respect for human rights. This entails rights in several areas such as equality before the law, security, presumption of innocence until proven guilty, freedom of expression and opinion, as well as freedom of movement. The changes address poverty in the community. This has proved important strategy in the eradication of poverty. The changes have the potential of satisfying the increased population, especially that of the youth. Employed youth will have no opportunity to undertake criminal activities.
Changes in security strategies promote a just society. This is because individuals enjoy their freedom and rights. For example, community policing bring the good relationship between the community members and the police. Also, the criminal justice system tends to serve people equally regardless of their social status. Social institutions will be organized in a just manner and provide accessibility to what is good for all people (Barry 2005). The changes impose a sense of responsibility in perverting social and personal development. Personal beliefs and aspects of individualism are eliminated by the changes. In fact, the community members view each other in a brotherly manner. In the critical analysis, the changes in the community make the society socially just. This is achieved through a change in the infrastructural facilities, the creation of employment, education system, security, recreation facilities, and respect for human rights. Each of this components determines the level of social justice in the community. The changes eliminate the loopholes that divide the community between religious, ethnic and racial lines.
