Organization
When it comes to the world of personal computers, it becomes absolutely impossible to ignore the flourishing personal computer (PC) giants namely IBM, Dell, Apple, Sony, and Hp ( Iserlis). It becomes increasingly difficult for an individual to choose from the wide range of options available in the market. A number of companies have introduced their distinguished series of personal computers. They are primarily inclusive of a base model and several other advanced models derived from the basic model. This paper aims to provide a comparison between three different models of personal computers and recommend the best model of the three.
It is observed that the series introduced by the manufacturers can be broadly divided into three or four categories. These are economical models, mid-range models, elite models and high–performance models ( Iserlis). The choice of a particular computer model becomes easy if the user is aware of his needs. The main constituents of a computer are its processor, memory, display, hard disk, availability of CD and DVD slot and video. Here is a comparison between three different models of personal computers based on these parameters that will help in choosing a particular model for the employees of the organization.
Let us consider three models of personal computers. The KRYLOG 4, COSMOS and Mac book pro. The KRYLOG 4 and COSMOS are pretty similar models with Intel Pentium 3 (867 MHz) processor, 64 Mo SDRAM memory and 17” – Pitch 0.29mm display. Despite their similarities, both these models have 2 significant points of difference that mostly turns out to the deciding factors of one’s purchase. The KRYLOG 4 and COSMOS differ majorly when it comes to their Hard disk, CD-ROM and DVD. The most important difference between these two models is their disk space, where KRYLOG 4 comprises of a disk space of 10 GB while COSMOS comprises of a disk space of 20 GB. Also, a major difference can be marked in their video systems. The NVIDIA card in cosmos facilities a faster response that the ATI in the KRYLOG 4. Not to forget the CD-ROMS’S fitted in both these models a slight difference too where the one fitted in the COSMOS has recorded better performance. Now, coming to MacBook Pro, this computer is of a completely different league belonging to a different price range. It offers a 2.5 GHz dual-core processor, a memory of 4GB (1600 MHz DDR3) and storage of 500 GB. It has an unbeatable performance in terms of its battery life and display. The screen size of this model is 13 inches that is appropriate for desk job as well as the kind of jobs that demand travelling. It has LED-backlit shimmery widescreen display which is supported by millions of colors. However, one drawback of this model would be its price range. Although, the amount fixed for this model is in congruence with the features provided but it would not be a very good idea to go for something so expensive when a better option is at hand.
One must look through a number of options and compare them before taking a concrete decision ( Iserlis). The comparison between the above models covers the basic requirements of any use. It can be inferred from the above discussion that the best buy among the three models would be COSMOS. It comprises of all the features that a user requires. It is user-friendly and dose not change an outrageous amount for its features. Experts also suggest that one should go for COSMOS when compared with KRYLOG 4. To conclude, I would like to recommend COSMOS for the employees of my organization.
