The “Lincoln” movie written by Tony Kushner and directed by Steven Spielber, starring being Daniel Day-Lewis. The film covers Abraham Lincoln’s life for the term of four months before meeting his end. It captures the president’s efforts in getting the 13th Amendment to the United States Constitution which successfully passed by the United States House of Representatives. Lincoln’s movie is more public than a biographical history of Abraham Lincoln since its objective was of passing the 13th Amendment and termination of the civil war. Lincoln is willing to do anything even the worst in having the13th amendment passed. He does this through giving the lame-duck Democrats political appointments (Lincoln, 2012).
Lincoln goes quiet (assassinated) after successfully passing the 13th amendment. A new leadership starts with the coming to an aspect of his reign. The film’s rated PG-13 for it contains scenes of war which are not fit to be viewed by persons under the quoted rate. This movie is all about the introduction of the 13th amendment which Lincoln believed would take to an end of war and the slave trade. The number 13 is used in the film as well as in the amendment to designate war.
