Performing at Harrah’s Resort in Atlantic City on August 6, 2016, singer Kesha played to a packed house. Her performance showed she has a lot of stamina, and proved that she is an entertainer worth checking out. Her energetic performance kept her audience enthusiastically involved.
Against a translucent mesh curtain, Kesha and her back-up band, consisting of a keyboardist, drummer, and two guitarists, were well-choreographed. She played a diverse set which highlighted her dancing ability, as well as her impressive contralto voice. Wearing little more than a layered, negligee-like get-up and boots, she was an alluring presence against a sparkling backdrop. The audio quality, while a bit off-kilter, still highlighted Kesha’s impressive vocal range, and her array of styles – ranging from dance pop with Latin-infused beats to slower, love songs. Her band played a pounding rhythm which underscored Kesha’s rich vocal talents.
For those in attendance, the show was a memorable performance by a top-notch artist – one who can dance, sing, and keep the crowd involved. Visually, the sights onstage were sparse, and complemented Kesha’s overall presence. At one point, her band, donning T. Rex masks performed a comical new song called “Dinosaur”. The number, with its infectious beat, will surely be a dance pop hit.
Doubtless, Kesha is a talented entertainer whose danceable music is pleasing to hear, and dance to. Members of the audience at Harrah’s would surely agree. Moreover, her band was a tightly-knit combo that pounded out number after number, without losing a beat. Kesha showed why she is a popular entertainer.
