It is evident from the text that the top management at Balt Healthcare Corporation does so little to effectuate business process modeling. Business process model, also referred to as BPM, is the representation of processes of an enterprise with the aim of evaluating, analyzing and improving existing organizational procedures. The description in the text gives a clear image of the business process modeling of the organization.
Brooks and Gantman had a history of conflict during their 16 years work at the organization. The fact that this conflict was never solved and was instead left to lie under the carpet tells a lot concerning the human resource management department. Even after this, the two were still asked to work together in coming up with an E-commerce solution to the company. This was a very awkward situation to the duo because it needed constant consultation and contact.
The process model does not focus on identifying and alleviating conflict amongst employees. Surprisingly, a solution could not be reached even after bringing the issue to the attention of a second party; Mrs. Young. This depicts that the organization has a history of failing to assess conflict and come up with credible solutions with the aim of meeting organizational goals.
I would have done things totally differently if I were in the shoe of Mrs. Young or any other member of the top management of this organization. First of all, I would have assessed the historical relationship between Brooks and Gantman before asking them to work together in a project of such importance. This would have played a significant role in identifying the conflict thereby taking appropriate measures. Alternatively, I would have brought the two together while seeking to make them tolerate one another assuming their conflict was already overlooked. Unlike Young, I would never have taken sides. Subsequently, I would never have let Bantman leave because he was a great asset to the company.
