My friend is male, in his early 30s and sells real estate properties and life insurance plans for a living. He plans to buy a new Toyota Land Cruiser Prado.He first thought of buying a new car because his old car is no longer gas efficient, it is hard to find a shop that will fix it, and the air conditioner is constantly busted. His current ideal state is to have a new car that will be more gas efficient and will be easier to maintain. He also said that he will not have to worry about future damages which may happen anytime to his old car.
Internally, he is familiar with Toyota because his friends and family have Toyota cars. Based on attributes, Toyota is also easily accessible and available as there are many dealerships around and he knows a few people in Toyota. His own experience driving Toyota vehicles has also always been good. He looked at external sources of information since he was deciding between the unleaded gas and diesel variants. He asked around for opinions of friends and family on their cars and experiences with Toyota’s service. He made use of the media, retailers’ information, and the internet to find specifications, reviews, and pros and cons of each variant.
Although he has not made the purchase, he has decided to buy the unleaded gas version. He compared the prices of both and found that the unleaded gas variant will be more cost-efficient in the long run even if gas is more expensive than diesel. He also said that he found the engine to be better based on specifications and reviews. Lastly, he feels more positive about the unleaded gas model since it is more earth-friendly than the diesel model.
