Abstract
Employee motivation is one of the most significant aspects for the welfare of any organization. This is the reason why organizations should be well informed on the best motivational strategies for the employees. Once employees are highly motivated in any organizational setting, it would be easy to accomplish the short term and long term goals of the organization. There are many ways through which employees should be motivated in the work place setting. On this note, there is the intrinsic type of motivation and extrinsic type of motivation. Researching on how an organization employs these motivational strategies would be of great significance for the success of the organization. This is why it would be relevant to conduct an investigation trying to find out the motivation of employees within a work place setting. By so doing, the organization would be encouraged to make changes in relation to employee motivation. Employee motivation has been considered to be one of the challenges facing the welfare of the employees in the work place setting hence why further investigations on the issue are encouraged (Blumen 2003).
For any employee to make further investigations on the issue of employee motivation, it would be advisable to relieve them off their duties. This would be for the welfare of the research within the organization. By relieving the duties to the employees, it would be easier to conduct the investigation because all the time would be dedicated to getting results that would have a positive impact to the organization. Additionally, multitasking in the sense of executing work duties and at the same time conducting the investigation would be difficult. This is one of the reasons why an employee would have to focus on the investigation for the welfare of the organization.
Research has revealed that employee motivation is one of the strategies applied by organizations to meet the main objectives of the organization (Aneel 2003). Highly motivated employees are in a better position to meet the short term and the long term goals of the organization. This is the single most reason as to why the matter should be taken with utmost seriousness. Many organization employ intrinsic motivation which is mostly of a psychological nature. On the other hand extrinsic motivation has also proven to be effective in many organizational settings. This is the kind of motivation that is materialistic in nature. The employees are offered remuneration in terms of pay rise holiday packages amongst other forms of motivation.

Additionally, researching on organizations that have successfully incorporated the art would be beneficial for any researcher. This information would be beneficial because it would assist any organization acquire knowledge and skills on how to apply the strategies. This would enhance organizational performance and also encourage corporate social responsibility in the work place. Motivation has a very important role to play since it has a positive impact to the welfare of the employees. Employees should be highly motivated so as to execute duties in the work place efficiently. This is the reason why organizations are encouraged to focus on motivation as one of the most important strategies to enhance organizational performance.
Benefits of employee motivation
There are many benefits linked to employee motivation in the work place. One of the most visible would be increased work output. Employees’ output would increase because they would be working with the sense of acquiring a reward in the end. The reward is what is considered to be the motivating factor. These factors should be taken under full consideration because they would ensure that an organization is in a position to meet its goals. Another benefit of exploiting the aspect of employee motivation would be the fact that it would improve the social relations amongst the employees in the organization (Koch 2007). This would be in the form of engaging in work competitions with the aim of getting the motivational factor in the end. Social cohesion is one of the most important aspects in an organization. Therefore, it would be advisable for organizations to ensure that motivation is the key factor that leads to the high levels of social cohesion amongst employees.

It is the duty of organizations to ensure that motivation is the key factor that leads to better organizational performance. By so doing, the organizational would be able to accomplish most of the short term and long term objectives. Research has revealed that a high percentage of organizations do apply the aspect of employee motivation. This is the reason why many organizations fail to achieve the set objectives. With this knowledge, it is crucial that organizations should try and focus on different ways of motivating employees in the work place. This would have a positive impact for the well being of the organization. There are many positive aspects associated to employee motivation. Once organizations ensure that the aspect of employee motivation is fully exploited, it would be easy to meet the short term and long term goals in short durations of time.
