Major physical features in Jamaica
Blue Mountain Peak
This is the highest mountain in Jamaica with a highest of 2256meters (7402ft).It is ranked 117th in the world. The mountain is notable because of the Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee grown in the mountain. The coffee has no bitterness and is the most expensive and sought after coffee in the world.
Limestone plateau
This physical feature covers two thirds of the country’s land. The plateau form karsts which are distinguished by terra Rosa soils in the valley. This forms the largest basin, Vale of Clarendon.
Dunn’s River Falls
This is the most famous waterfall in Jamaica due to its features of staircase terrains where tourists can climb and pose for photos. It attracts tourists across the globe every year.

The country also imports fuel from other countries since it does not have fuel deposits. Jamaica refineries limited are the main importer of fuel in Jamaica, supplying fuel to a more than half of the total demand.

Jamaica is an island country with an estimated population of 2714000 people and ranked 137th in the world. It covers an area of 10991square kilometer. The country is a member of the commonwealth states. This boosts its foreign relations .Moreover it’s a member of the World trade organizations .This enhances good trade relations with the rest of the country. However, being an island country is a major drawback in development since it cannot trade efficiently with its neighbors due to logistic issues. Export of coffee has promoted the reputation of the country due to its best quality.
