It is the application or expression of human creative imaginations and skills mainly in a visual state such as sculpture or painting. 2. Is there one definition that sums up the meaning of art?
Art is the in-depth conception, discovery and establishment of elementary ideologies of nature into adorable forms essential for human usage. 3. How was the term, Fine Arts first used?
The term fine art was first used to refer to a piece of art developed and primarily intended for aesthetic purposes rather than utility. It entails many forms of art pieces such as paintings, sculptures or music.
4. What is an artist?
An artist is a person who creatively develops a piece of art to express their innermost feelings or thoughts. They use a varied assortment of materials such as stones, paints, pens and pencils to develop their pieces of creative arts.
5. What are contemporary explanations of what art and the artist are?
There is a thin line that distinguishes between art and an artist since they are interrelated or intertwined in one way or another. An artist uses the varied pieces of art works to express their innermost feelings and thoughts. 6. What do you believe art is?
Art is a tool creatively used to showcase human imaginations and skills into an acceptable visual form by the humanity.

The language use in the film shows that there exists boundary and total rivalry between the gangs (Chicano) and the natives of USA. The Pachucos show difference in language that is identifiable as different and from North America.
- What symbolic role does the character, El Pachuco, have in the film?
El pachuco plays the role of “Greek Chorus” an idealist commenting the running of the play.
- According to the film, why were Pachucos discriminated against in the 1940's?
The Pachucos were discriminated because of their race being from foreign parents thus allied to be children of intruders.
- Describe some important scenes in the film that relate to the idea of cultural affirmation.
At the dance when Rudy, Henry’s brother starts a fight with the Downey gang. This shows aggressiveness, the existing racism, and the wrath of the North America.
- Why did Pachucos in the 1940's display a distinctive dress and language style?
The Pachucos displayed a distinctive dress so as part of their pure culture thus for identity. The Pachucos wanted to uphold their culture and unity among themselves.
- How would you describe the Pachuco attitude, and how do you think it relates to contemporary Chicano reality?
The Pachucos are violent as they like commotions. However, this violence is because of the racial discrimination that they faced as the minority from Mexico. The Chicanos are more advanced with only color distinction in addition to their militant attitude.

Corky Gonzales poem, I am Joaquin elaborates the numerous challenges met and overcome by Corky Gonzales. He strongly upheld his commitment to enhance the lives of his people, to change whatever is not right or fair. He’s commitment to fight all the negative vices in the society serves as an inspiration to many act. 2. Who is Jesus Salvador Trevio, and what is his contribution to Chicano filmmaking?
Jesus Salvador Trevino is a highly reputable United States television director of a Mexican descent. He uniquely monitored the production of the widely viewed Chicano film which revolutionized the perception of the Latin Americans in the film industry. It brought into lime light the great strength of the Latinos in the film industry.
3. Who are other Chicano filmmakers, and what projects have they been involved in?
The students “bronze people” the actively participate in advocating for independence using the aspect of educational reforms.
4. What aspects of Chicano culture does the film, Real Women Have Curves, touch upon?
The Chicano culture depicts women as passive in claiming their rights and in the overall struggle for independence. This is until the day of liberation when over five million were recruited into the force of war.

- What is the overall message of the Plan Espiritual de Aztlan?
The Chicano movement with the acceptance of the concept aimed at addressing their rights. This was a demand for recognition and deletion of the negative connotations attached to them. This was a quest for empowerment and freedom.
- What is the significance of September 16th in the Plan Espiritual de Aztlan?
A national walk of all Chicanos students was sustained in the demand for educational revision of educational system. Including administrative, personnel and generally policies geared towards achievement of the needs of Chicanos. This was like the day of Mexican independence.
- What Plans does Alurista have for the gabacho the oppressor?
The Alurista had a plan to resist the gabacho the oppressor by denying the identification of being the white as a rise to independence. The alurista had to maintain their distinct culture. They also claimed that the agricultural land belonged to them and so they do not recognize the foreigners.
