With the analysis at hand on the way to transfer the data carefully and effectively from the IT of the acquired company to the acquired one. Measures such as revising the information held in their records and deduce their status. In regards the newly acquired soft candy company, four pyramids of ideas had to be developed. They fall under several meetings that were to be held by various departments within the acquiring manufacturer. The specified departments lie in the field of IT, Manufacturing, Distribution and lastly marketing. The requirements in completing the boxes were as specified. On box relating or rather connecting the department was already filled. That was “Acquiring the soft-candy.” Each department had been awarded three boxes in which I had to fill them in the following order “means of achievement.” This was basically the well planned options that were available. The next step in filling the successive box was, “logic” which is the sound reasonable but critical options. Lastly we have the evidence box. This was to be filled with the reconnaissance carried out provide required support the imperative choices.
Our task was to connect various steps related to the department direct from the acquiring of the new line. We shall consider the meeting that would be held with the Information and Technology department (IT). I proposed a plan to the IT that would meet the critical yet legal and conditions. Involving the legal requirements in attaining the procurement would enable the manufacturer to avoid mishaps that may develop in regards to the law. Since there are certain laws that limits or rather governs procurement in various aspects, the IT depart would require a proper plan to handle this situation at all angles. It would occur that the IT department would be required to come up with main objectives centered or rather targeted at ensuring the demands or vision what the company stands for is adhered to and met.
The above proposal was to be achieved through various channels according to my findings. The IT departments would embark on a thorough market analysis dwelling on the marketwise opportunities that may be present for the two lines to venture. This was to target the capability of the two lines gives maximum returns. In my view they had to ensure that the procurement documents were feasible enough and not confining in any manner. I also arrived to this by acknowledging that the IT would be responsible with the testing and implementation of the guidelines that leads to analytical formulation. The department would be in charge with determining the present performance compared to the expected returns. Lastly the task given to the department were proper since it would be required to be on the assessing panel as evident from the functions or reason that would render the move vital.
Regarding the Manufacturing department, I would relate my decision in relation to the assessment to be carried out per Unit 8 guidelines. The strategic advancement would be the production of prepacked candy products. The company would also produce fully packed products for the newly adopted customers. As to the present nature of the market available for the products of the newly acquired line of manufacturing, the acquirer shouldn’t let all the candies to be pre packed. It's evident by the repacked products kind of market availability. But this shouldn’t force the acquirer not to venture into new untamed markets. So far as it stands; this is the only way the market can reach the consumer rather market. The manufacturers will give way for the products that can reach the markets .This is the clear reasoning behind the critical options involved that would be presented in the meeting involving the manufacture. For this to be possible, a proper research needs to be carried out on , the nature of market present for the products from the newly acquired line .It doesn’t only give the layout of the market but also an achievement in finding new markets.
In the meeting with the distribution department, a proposal of acquiring new trucks with refrigeration capabilities was in place. I also brought out the issue of remodeling of the present truck to accommodate the new products from the acquisition that would be affected by extreme temperature. In acquiring new ones, the manufacture would only need to buy a few that will be used I in distribution purposes. But there was a cheaper option that I would present at the meeting. That is remodeling some of the present trucks that belong to the company would save on the cost of buying a new one. So basically I would recommend the second option but also give them another option which is the latter. The tracks would also be used at normal weather conditions. In other terms the trucks can be adopted at all times.
In relation to the last meeting to be held with the department of marketing, the critical opinion to be set on a table would be a feasibility study. This study or research is carried out to provide an insight if at all merging of the productions produced by the two lines of manufacture would be profitable. It may be important since from the study in Unit 8, there might have arisen a probability that the same consumers at the receiving end pertaining products of the acquiring line would also consume the ones produced by the newly acquired one. It is clear that the latter would back the move of acquiring the soft-candy factory. As evident from the pyramid of ideas on the basis the evidence backing up the options, researching on the nature of customers in the old line to try and prove if they could provide a market for the one’s products. Henceforth in regards the procurement of the soft-candy factory, from the IT analysis of its systems, it will prove to be productive depending on the measures taken by the individual departments.
Hence it is deduced from the pyramid or ideas that the build of reasoning as was required has been attained. Is can be shown how lenient yet reasonable thinking was applied in building up the Pyramid. A clear application of the unit's mission can be clearly identified. The unit dwelled on identifying and knowing the constituent or applicable nature of business communication and how well it can be organized. Further ability applied or know how entailing communication , presenting the information collected together with proving to head a major study or research can be picked from my presentation.
