Introduction
Texas nurses association (TNA) is an association that is devoted to provide health care services to patients. It is a registered association that not only provides health services but also other social services like sponsoring students for students. The association is trying to change strategies used in addressing health issue so as to better service delivery and ensure people have access to medical care. However things have not been easy for TNA. It has to fight with some legislation. However, it is continuously striving towards bettering its services.
The Texas nurses association plans to develop a plan of actions that will provide a solution to the nursing problem. Nurses are very important in providing health services to the community. Success of the public health system requires a combination of efforts. Nurses, the government and the community at large must work together to strengthen the national health program thus create a society that is healthy and happy (CDC 2003).
The nurses take orders from physician assistants (PA). This law should be changed to allow even the BSN (bachelor registered nurses) to administer treatment to any individual whom they have analyzed and determined that they require urgent treatment. This will make it easy for patients to receive treatment without having to wait for physicians instructions (Sportsman 2013). However complex cases will still need physicians’ intervention.
The advocate nurse follows social and health issues as well as formulating policies that relate to health. They also spearhead any policy change that is required in the public health sector and ensure that nurses operate according to the required professional standards.
The heath issue is important in the current policies since the policies tend to improve service delivery by the nurses and strengthen the public health program. Standards are very essential. The public health program should be strengthened through legislation. Cooperation will ensure that the community health needs are met.
Conclusion
Good health is necessary for a person as well as the community to live a happy life. TNA is trying to do this by changing various policies and legislation that will strengthen the public health program. TNA should be supported by all individuals so as to enable it achieve its goal of creating a healthy society. The changes that it advocates should be implemented since it is for the benefit of the society. Today, TNA is different to what it was back in 1990s due to the changes it has undergone.
