Question 1
My totem animal is the Wisaka that is affiliated to the Kickapoo people. The animal is given other variations in other tribes such as Anishinabe among the Nanabojo and Wabanaki among the Glooscap. The animal is considered a hero among the Algonquian tribes and he is a trickster character who has humorous adventures. He is often portrayed as a very good friend of humans. He is also not destructive or dangerous. I have chosen him to represent me because I feel his characteristics are rather funny. He is also regarded as a savior. He may be a trickster but he is a friend of human beings.
Question 2
The lesson I am supposed to teach the tribe concerns the willingness to help those people who are in need. Every society has its share of success stories as well as those people who never make it big but then when they call upon the successful ones for help; it is always prudent that they help them because this is what humanity encompasses. I will impart the lesson by impersonating a rich man. This way, I will use him as an example of how he can come to the aid of the needy. If at all they won’t learn from this lesson, then I will use another example such as turning the poor man into a poor one so they people get to feel how it is to be poor or in need.
Question 3
The ritual that the tribe can use to invoke me could be in the form a long journey to a distant land where I live. I can even send one of the members on a long journey, and if they make it then I come to their aid. If a person fails, then I will have to send many more until my wishes are fulfilled.
