The film is based on the true story that has occurred in Oakland with a General Manager. Organizations adopt different wants to bring change in the organizational design to remain competitive. The strategy of change is one of the fundamental aspects that require innovative ways to create distinct ways of business practices to optimize performance. In the film, MoneyBall there are different human resource management practices which can be implemented in a business setting to improve organizational setting. Two of the critical incidents that occurred in the film are as below
1. Diversification and teamwork
In an organization, the effective allocation of the resources including the strategic deployment of each of the employee at the certain level/designation according to their skills and capabilities is a critical aspect. For this, it is essential that the organization needs to understand the capacity of each of its employees. In the film, one of the strategies that were adopted by the organization to improve its performance was through mixing different employees and people. In the film, people that used to work in a particular department over the long period were relocated. When the organization is undergoing a change, it is suggested that the mixing people from one place to another can lead to high performance (Harzing & Pinnington, 2014). For instance, in the film when the organization was undergoing problems and obstacles or the manager of the department has become clueless to make the right decision for the organization. Rather than firing the people, the organization can make the decisions to swap the manager with the lady in the operation. It can enable the organization to look into the issues through a critical view. It is because the person in the operation would be more aware of the situations, problems, and obstacles that they are undergoing and can come up with a better solution.

However, there are certain challenges that may occur in the mentioned critical incidence
• The change in the role and responsibilities of the person
• Managing communication and leadership skills to direct the teams
• The change in the department can create anonymity
• Need for training to develop competent skills
• Conflicts emerging as there is probability that there are people from different culture and background which can change the pattern of directions
• Resistance to adopt change among employees/team

• Lack of understanding of the direction for the division of the tasks among the group members as the new manager is not aware of the whole staff instantly
• Since the management would be new it will be time-consuming to implement the procedures and process
• There is probability that the change could fail because of inadequate capacity of the designated manager from the other department
• Wider gap in the knowledge can occur because the employee is swapped from new department
• There is a need to redesign the structure of the organization to develop coherent direction and division for the task, guidelines, and outcomes.
2. Transparency
