- There are no evidences to prove the existence of reverse speech but if it did truly exist Oates would become a person who discovered a very important phenomenon.
- There were no facts or evidences in support this theory.
- The argument is deductive.
- I don’t believe that reverse speech exist. Firstly because of lack of evidences and secondly because of the fact people are those who discovered speech and languages.
Oates’ theory about the reverse speech in point of fact is a very interesting and in case of proving it may become a real scientific breakthrough. However, without foregoing actions the phenomenon of reverse speech now is only a myth. There must be the evidences to prove the theory and firstly it should be tested with people from different countries, who speak different languages. It means there must be evidence that prove theory works for everybody, it is also the main requirement for using reverse speech in courts of law. Another kind of evidence is about how it can be explained in terms of physiology – reverse speech should be something we were born with.
The same is about the language. So in the human brain or in any other part of the body must be mechanisms that somehow define the features the reverse speech is implemented. Besides, if this phenomenon does really exist it is very strange there are still no information about any features of human’s organism. Of course, now it is impossible to talk about using reverse speech as a lie detector in courts of law until it is not proved. It is even unknown if reverse speech can indicate truth or lie. Nevertheless, if it becomes apparent that a reverse speech is real life will become easier or much more complicated. Anyway it will change.
