(Performance Evaluation)
Implementing change is always challenging for organizations and it needs to be handled with the necessary caution. The first example of techniques that would be used in executing change in a new organization is going in stages. This process would be helpful in ensuring that the entire system of the organization does not get disoriented. The second example of the techniques that would be used in a new organization is getting everyone involved in the intended change. The new plan for the organization should be made friendly to its users and they should get used to it as time passes.
It is usually confusing for individuals to get used to new processes. This is usually defined by the existence of exclusive risks, new work, and need for appropriate thinking. However, one may be able to deal with risks, and new work processes. The first example of what one should do is engaging in deep analysis of the organization that one is dealing with so as to familiarize oneself with the new processes and risks involved. The second example would be getting previous performance and history of a similar company. This will equip a person with information on how activities take place in a given line of business.
Achieving results
Despite the snow that has been forecasted, the mentoring program has to take place as it had been planned. It is at this point that technology becomes the real determinant of current activities. In this case, the problem would be solved through online technology, where I would hold online conferencing through a video connection.
The program manager must be aware of the principles of time management. It is true that the same time would have been taught by the career coach and I would take advantage of that. Also, I would gather basic time management skills from the manager, which I would use for my daily activities.
It is always to realize that survey results are a reflection of the reality in a portion. Talking to a few customers would be wise enough to define the facts about the given element in relation to all customers. I would use results of a survey as a reflection of the reality on a given issue. The survey would give me suggestions that would be useful in administering change in a given project. Suggestions in a survey act as directions that a customer would give to a producer to improve the quality of goods. Therefore, I would use it in the next production. Advice on service delivery would also be considered vital and it has to count on the next decision that needs to be made.
Managing resources
In work schedules priorities are extremely vital. However, they need to be in a given order. In a case where I have a supervisor I usually ensure that my priorities appear in order of interest. The most urgent activities have to be given the first priority while they get followed by the minor ones. Exclusive details concerning the first priorities must be given to attract more seriousness on them. The rest of the priorities will be allocated resources depending on what is needed at the moment.
Budget concerns allocation of funds for different activities that one or an organization plans to engage in within a given period. Therefore, as a planning tool it needs to be undertaken with the keenness it deserves. The most significant or useful element in appropriate planning is prioritizing activities or elements. The most urgent and compulsory elements must be allocated funds first while the rest follow in order of priority. Also, if it is possible to replace some of the elements in the budget to make it less costly I would as I would ensure elements are enlisted in order of their significance in a project.
Communication
In communication, choice of words is extremely vital. It is always wise to protect a problem than cure its effects. Understanding proper use of specific words is extremely educative and significant in defining how people relate with each other. While delivering an oral or written speech to audiences of different cultural beliefs at work place, I ensure my words are not offensive to people since different culture would interpret words or illustrations differently. My gestures during the communication are vital to ensure that I do not use signs that may be offensive to other people.
Oral communication is a vital element in communication and it deserves necessary caution. It is always wise to main courtesy during communication within the workplace. The first element is show of respect, which comes with use of courteous words during the conversation. One’s language must portray absolute respect in a communication. Also, one should be a good listener such that if a question was asked concerning the topic of discussion he or she would answer. If a question was asked to me during a conversation at workplace the answer should be straight and informative and not detailed with irrelevant words.
Proper communication with coworkers would be built upon an open talk. This means that every individual should have a chance to talk. The forum should be open in such a way that every individual or workmate has a chance to ask a question concerning a given element. Before the discussion initiates every individual should be allocated time to ensure equal participation. The number of questions that everyone asks should be limited by the time given. Every individual should have a chance to defend his or her argument concerning a given issue. However, all questions must be in line with the topic of discussion.
Innovation
Establishing new programs deserves use of creative methods. One has to be creative enough to define solution to a given problem in a unique way. The first step towards innovation is analysis of the existing problem. Once I have had full understanding of the problem that exists, I would gather the available resources that would be helpful to me in solving the existing problem. I would use the existing tools as comparisons to come up with new one that would be better than the initial ones.
Developing new innovative and useful approaches for products or services improvements is a process that may take a deal of concern. The first step would be making performance a habit. This would be made true by first ensuring that one has clear understanding of previous processes. In this era of technology, one must be aware of the most recent technology defined to solve a given problem. Rebranding or borrowing from existing brands would be extremely vital in making modern technology count in improving services, as well as expanding production.
Data analysis
After a long process of developing new ideas and elements it is always vital to take stock of the relevant measures that could have been employed. As an indication for proper planning, necessary budget should be shown with appropriate figures indicated in the budget. Proper schedule of activities must be shown in the report. Also, plans for future activities for the organization must be indicated. Moreover, trend must be shown through presentation of graphs on the success rate of the activities that an individual of the organization has engaged into at a given time.
