The different products offered by the firm could be noted to be directing different market segments. Cid could be categorized on the high end market segment. Cure, Coat and Cake to be categorized on the traditional market segment with Cedar being the low end market segments. The difference in segments results in the need for these products to have different market strategies.
The high end market segment is for the highly expensive and sophisticated goods. This means that a high level of technology has been used hence high cost as compared to the rest. With these the pricing is high; this needs for aggressive market strategies though the media and billboards to capture the attention of the wealthy. The demand of the product entirely depends with how expensive the product is. With these, the management should ensure that up to date technology is ensured so as to capture the needs of the consumers through high pricing.
With the traditional segments, this refers to goods and services in the market that obey the rule of pricing. This segment involves consumers who want high quality goods at a reasonable price. They will not go for expensive products and neither will they opt for cheaper products as they consider them low quality. In this segment, the best marketing strategy will involve aggressive marketing through use of social media, television and radio advertisements, billboards and product branding. As it is the most competitive segment, continuous marketing should be maintained to make sure that the product stays profitable in the market.
The low end segment involves consumers looking for the cheapest product in the market. To them, quality is not that of an issue as compared to pricing. In order to penetrate this segment, cost should be minimized as low as possible. A less vigorous market strategy will be used as these consumers do not fall for advertisements but go for the pricing.
