The educated elites and the political elites have significantly contributed to the denting of our educational system. The community and the students have in turn been left to shoulder the burden of this misunderstanding, a factor that has continued to dent our educational curriculum. As a result, it is clear that it is almost next to impossible to separate politics from education as the political elite are always in need to shape the system to their personal interests. In so doing, graduates from colleges in the United States have lacked optimum productivity as most models of education have not been working in their favor.
Education is a lifeline process. Its foundation which is laid when one is in college acts as the primary factor that fuels the educated elite among the citizens of America. The process of building this firm foundation has not been able to incorporate people of color leading to social-cultural conflicts. In today’s fast-paced society, such discrimination is perpetrated by the political elite leading to the marginalization of particular groups in society. This has deprived people of color the ability to realize their potential due to lack of opportunity.
There is a need for cultural diversity in our education curriculum to cater for the needs of all social, cultural groups. The ability to tolerate one another is a major factor that builds team spirit and makes it easier to accomplish our targets, which out rightly leads to progress. Over the years, the United States had become renowned for its spirit of democracy which helps bind together people of different social, cultural groups into a powerful nation.
