- Who is the audience for your argument essay and what specifically identifies this in your writing?
My audience is everybody that knows and has been in the judicial system. Also those who oppose the death penalty and have lost a love one due to this punishment are also addressed. My audience is also the law makers who need to understand the implications across the board on the inhumane act of killing even though its punishment.
- What is the purpose for and message presented in your essay?
My message is that the death penalty is inhumane and shouldn’t be the last results. The Judicial system should be designed to help and rebuild, not only as a punishment. The use of death penalty as a capital punishment is an inhumane act that violates the rights of humans’ right to life. The message is that the Judiciary should reconsider the punishment and scrap it to protect the sanctity of life.
- What appeal to Ethos, Pathos and Logos are present in your discussion?
My appeal to Ethos is that I speak from the bottom of my heart. I believe that the act is against the sanctity of life from a religious point of view, a violation of human rights from a legal perspective and generally immoral in the normal workings of human beings.
My appeal to Pathos is that I appeal to the ones who have lost loved ones who were innocent but wrongfully convicted. We cannot get their lives back because what is done is done. Avoid the whole practice instead of applying it partially. Man is to err and if we committed more, how many have to suffer like that.
- I have to have a reverse out line on the essay too.
