On the second presidential debate in the United States, the President Barack Obama clashed with mitt Romney on economical issues regarding jobs, taxes and foreign policies. Obama was shaper enough to dominate the debate over his opponent.
In this debate President Obama emphasized on improving education facilities as a way to curb the level of unemployment. He also argued that reducing debt will be a “moral obligation to the next generation”. The President disagreed on his opponent’s Tax Plan and Defense Spending Plan which cost an estimate of $8 trillion. Although president’s policy will not increase taxes by 98% of families in the country and 97% of small businesses, he argued that Romney’s allies in Congress do not consider the 98% since they demand tax break for the rest 2%.
On the education matters, Romney stated that he is proposing to develop the Federal Pell Grant Program to assist students in paying their college fees. He repeatedly said that he is intending not to increase tax on middle class or reduce tax for the well-off population. He clearly stated that the 5% of taxpayers will maintain incurring 60% of the country’s income tax. He argued that to equate the tax payers, the middle income earners will have tax break, that is, they will not incur tax on capital gain or dividends, interest and no tax on savings.
Romney promised to work on the balanced budget to improve the United State’s economy and enhance efficiency. He also stated that he will accomplish the reforms that president promised but failed to implement such as social security and Medicare. However, president Obama energetically dominated the debate on basis that he has accomplish higher percent of his manifesto on economy.
