Everyday people need to make a particular decision. It can be big or small; however, there are different factors that have an impact on the decision-making process. Knowing external and internal factors, a lot of businesses are able to manipulate their prospective customers and influence on their final decisions. In this presentation, I would like to describe both external and internal factors that are associated with the decision-making process, as well as I would like to provide a short description of each of the factors.
Apparently, from a prospective of a public relations professional worker, both external and internal factors would make me choose to use native advertising. In particular, such aspects as full disclosure, social media and clear disclosure of the native advertising would be applied in this case. Clearly, in order to pursue the main goal, which is either manipulation or persuasion of a customer, it is highly important for a public relations worker to work transparent and avoid any kind of conflicts of interest.
The external factors are those, which influence a person’s decision from outside sources rather than from inside. In fact, the most common external factors are: family, social class, economic, culture and business. People are raised in families; therefore, family members play an integral role in the decision-making process. However, from a PR worker perspective, economic and business external factors are the most important one, because public relations professionals usually rely on media partners and sponsors. Depending on the social class, a person tends to make a decision based on the upper or middle class’s values. The internal factors depend on the inside feelings, motives, needs and personality. The educational and cultural background, age and social status are the best examples of the internal factors.
In conclusion, the internal and external factors of native advertising would have a positive impact on the organization, because it is based on honesty, truth and support. These aspects are extremely important for a customer and a PR professional worker.
