When my mum finally told me that I was old enough to go to school, anxiety grew in me. I was longing to have a feel of the school experience. Before long, I was on going to school for the first time. Honestly, the experience was not as good as I had anticipated. I kept on going to school by I was by all means not enjoying it. My performance was unendingly poor, and by sixth grade, I found it inevitable to drop out. This did not go well with my parents, and so they decided that it was wise if stay away for some time as they ruminated on what I could do. That Friday, at around 10 am, I was on a but heading to Uncle John’s place. Uncle John owned a hotel, and since I was idle virtually all the time, I constantly found myself with him at the hotel giving him a hand in finishing chores that never required any specialized knowledge. It was not long and could now step in for some late employees whose duties I could perform almost in equal measure as them. However, consequent to doing the same thing repetedly, I got really bored with the job. One thing I knew for sure was that the job would have been more interesting if it had job mobility. For the look of things, it was indubitable that education was the only means of adding job mobility to this king of work. This is how I resolved rseek readmission in to school with my career goals already set.
Within that first month of going back to school, my performance had become illustrious. Being a forward minded student, I enrolled for IB classes, some of which online. In the past 12 years, I have attended 9 schools. In as much as this might appear weird, I must admit that attending the several schools has further prepared for a profession in hotel management besides exposing to numerous education systems. Likewise, I have travelled far and wide; travels that have really heightened my understanding of other cultures. I ideologically cogitate that success in any hotel related career is overly dependent on one’s discernment of other cultures.
I am a responsible and industrious individual with fantabulous communication skills, both oral and written that disposes me to effectively communicate with all and sundry. My current goal is to obtain an undergraduates degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management before getting a master’s degree field coupled with a degree in Global Supply Chain. I am academically versatile conjugated with an ability to adapt easily to changes in my environment- this is perhaps the trait that has made come this far. Additionally, I am a dedicated team player who really appreciates the pertinence of team play in the attainment if any personal or organizational goals.
Out of academics I spend much of my time with a group called “Helping the Elderly” which concerns itself with raising money and collecting clothing, medicine, and other necessities for helping the elderly and the less fortunate in Romania. Further in Romania, I am a member of a group called the Habitat for Humanity, in which one of our achievements as a group includes building a house for a displaced family of 8. Additionally this year, I was chosen by my government teacher to represent my school, along with two other boys, in the Academic World Quest challenge in downtown Houston. In another instance, I was also chosen to speak to the White House, for the White House: Young America Series, event that was held at UT Austin. This really gave me insight to what problems America is facing, and what I can do to help, it also expanded my network of people, as I got to speak with ac plethora od people.
I am looking forward to getting admission in to your institution.
