Question 1
Cleanliness of the restaurant is beyond any doubt. I have to admit that the restaurant and its environment are kept clean and tidy. At the main door, there is somebody who politely welcomes the customers and directs them to where they can sit. Every table is provided with a menu; however, in the absence of any, there are servers who ensure that every new customer is given the menu. The server then asks the customer politely what the customer would wish to order. After making the order, the customer is requested to pay and wait for a few minutes depending on the availability of the order.
As I was waiting for my order to be brought, I noted that all the servers had uniforms except one gentleman who had a shirt of different color. I immediately thought that he was a supervisor, only to realize later that he was one of the servers. All the servers wore tags displaying their names. There was a television, probably to engage the customers as they wait to be served. I also noted that the servers were few and looked tired. It was like they were working just for the sake; either forced to, or without any interest or motivation.
My order took too long and I almost lost patience. I have never imagined waiting for about 12 minutes in a restaurant during the lunch break. I could not wait any longer and called the guy I believed was the supervisor, in order to launch my complaint. To my surprise, he was also a server. Anyway, I got my order after waiting for about 15 minutes. The reason for the delay was that, my order was special and had to be prepared specifically for me, based on my instructions. I also observed that even those customers, who didn’t order special meals, experienced some delays with their orders and complained. Anyway, the meal was of good quality, delicious, and served according to my instructions.
I really loved how the restaurant embraces cleanliness. This means that it cares about the health of its customers, and adheres to health regulations. However, violating the basic policies like putting on uniforms should not be tolerated. The management should ensure that all the servers have uniforms at all times, with name tags, for easy identification and to avoid confusion just like I in my case.
Most importantly, serious actions need to be taken to minimize the delays in serving. I recommend that the management hires more staff to ensure that nobody is overworked, and given the necessary breaks. The efficiency of an exhausted person is always low. The servers should also embrace honesty when serving. When a given order is not available, it is better to tell the customer the truth and give the approximate time required to prepare it, instead of keeping the customer waiting until the appetite disappears.

Question three
The website was accessed on Sunday, November 18, 2012 from http://www.magna.com/ Described below is the critique of the website.
The website is well organized, with clear text font and colors, and visually appealing moving pictures. The website can be accessed in four different languages. This gives the user an opportunity to explore the company’s information in the most desired language. The four language choices maximize the usage of the website by eliminating the language barriers that may arise. The site serves as a crucial source of information to stakeholders and other interested parties. Links to other pages are displayed on every page to ensure easy navigation and faster access to information.
The homepage does not highlight the general information about the company. It displays the investor information (performance of the company’s stock) in the two markets (NYSE and TSX). This is crucial to investors as it provides the shareholders with the information on how their shares are traded, and enables prospective investors make informed decision. At a glance, the homepage doesn’t provide much information. However, when explored, it provides the user with information such as the scheduled investor events, resources, and the latest news. When printed or viewed without color, the page is still clear, even though the pictures disappear. The site also provides quick links to the annual reports and other financial statements. I believe more information highlights should be given on the homepage to make it serve its purpose.
The about us page gives information about the company’s founder, culture, customers, suppliers, and the management. The font style and size is good; however, it might appear dull when printed due to the color choice. Interestingly, the pictures do not disappear when printed or viewed without color. Other pages are more or less similar to the about us page. For easy access, I believe the investor information, especially the share prices, should be displayed on every page.
