Feelings
After completing the numeracy quiz, I discovered that I had strengths and weaknesses in various parts. It was thrilling to learn the interconnection between fractions, ratios, and percentages. It is possible to convert ratios to fractions, fractions, to percentages, and percentages to either fractions or ratios. It was also exciting to discover that all these aspects directly apply in our lives only that we pay no conscious attention to them. However, it is frustrating dealing with fractions.
Evaluation
In the quiz, I performed well in percentages, metric systems, and ratios. Unlike other math units, this one was not entirely difficult. I believe that it was because of the ease of use in daily life that made me grasp the ideas quickly since I could easily relate them to real life situations. However, this does not mean that I did not face some difficulties in the section that I did well. I did badly with fractions. I had difficulties in computations involving them, especially when combined with the other aspects we were learning. Mixed fractions were also challenging.
Analysis and conclusion
I feel that I was not keen enough in previous times when learning about fractions. If I paid attention, I would not be having difficulties with fractions. A little more efforts would make me comprehend them better.
Action plan
I would have to practice more with fractions to comprehend them properly and consult my classmates or the teacher if need be. In the future, I would pay attention throughout to ensure that I understand all the concepts. Despite the challenges, I believe that I correctly learned most of the concepts. I would keep practicing to improve on both my weaknesses and strengths.
