Intructor’s name:
The photograph made by Donna Ferrato during the workshop with Karen Kuehn exudes power and energy which is transmitted through an attractive female body. There are not many shapes to be seen in this photograph, but it is still very powerful and makes it exciting for observing. The five senses are provoked by the intensity of the photo, by the sight, hear, taste, smell and touch. The model is standing under the chandelier which is located in a farmhouse dates from the 18th century. The style of the chamber is in accordance with this time period and the overall atmosphere is captivating because of all the mystery that surrounds the model. The woman is standing under the chandelier trying to reach it, there is a clock on the wall and other decorations and the temperature is high, the smell of fresh air is present mixed with the model’s perfume, while the silence is deranged only by the movement of the crystals.
There is much to see in this photograph and the main feeling is sex-appeal of the model because she is very attractive and she is playing with electricity which means that she is playing with her sexuality as well. The model is wearing tight jeans which show her athletic figure well and her sculpted behind. She is also wearing a plain white sleeveless shirt and her blond hair is loose. The woman is in control of all the things in the room and she can control electricity as well. The photograph seems to be supernatural and the woman’s simplicity makes her even more attractive. The chandelier is cold as well as the walls, but the electric bulbs are hot and the woman could burn her finger if she touched them. Everything is still and there is silence apart from the lights that are moving. The smell is great because of the freshness and the woman’s natural scent mixed with her floral perfume that is a combination of musk, jasmine and roses with some vanilla. It is an oriental scent perfect for the summer and it also fits in with this location. The taste is pleasurable because of the anticipation of what is going to happen and because the audience is eager to see if someone will join the blonde model. Pure pleasure tastes well especially because of the black and white technique that makes shadows more prominent. The chandelier feels cold, but the electricity heats the air and this creates an alluring atmosphere. The woman can be seen from behind and her semi-profile can be seen as well which makes her muscular physique noticeable. This blonde model is very firm and touching her feels like touching well defined muscles through soft and sensuous skin. The woman has big breasts and a well shapes gluteus. Her waist is also well shaped as well as her stomach which makes this woman a real-life model who could pose for students of painting. There is a sweet smell of fruits coming from the woman’s perfume and it suggests a succulent taste. There is mystery which surround this photograph because the electricity is tangible as the woman reaches for the chandelier. It is an antiquity and the model is a woman who has a youthful appearance which makes this photo a success and a pleasure for all the five senses.
