Human body have been very prone to disease today compared to the past days. If not attended earlier, it can lead to health complication in many hormonal related problems. Diabetes is an example of a hormonally triggered condition. This paper provides a short description of diabetes condition. It also gives the rationale for selecting the topic and high-level description on how to collect sample data for the project.
Diabetes is a long-term metabolic disease or condition that causes high blood sugar levels in the human body. Health professionals sometimes refer to it as diabetes mellitus. Blood sugar levels increase in the human body due to inadequate production of insulin. There are three major known types of diabetic conditions. The reason behind why I choose the diabetic topic is that the disease as become very prone to people and there is the need to understand it and address it properly. Furthermore, I developed the basis of selecting the topic since it is an area that has not been dealt with despite its major impact in the society.
Data collection on the project is important in the understanding and analyzing of diabetes. I plan to collect the diabetic information or data for the project in various ways. I would first identify and develop the project performance outcomes then go ahead to create and implement the data collection plan. Firstly, I will conduct survey since I can be able to include and cover a large number of people. I will carry out the survey on people with the help of survey template. Through survey template, people will fill out questionnaires with an open-ended question that will help me gather information on the project.
Secondly, I will employ record or document review in the collection of my project work. Therefore, with the help of initial data available from the various organization on diabetes, I will systematically obtain data from the existing data records. Existing records from various government and non-government organization about the disease would help me gather vital information on the project. Finally, I can employ the focus groups discussions and meet for data collection. I will meet with several community-based organizations and health professional who deal with the problem and obtain reliable information from them.
