Dietary patterns offer one of the best guidelines upon which people can use to lead to a healthy living as well as exercising the harmless and the most beneficial eating habits. This is when people choose to stick to a set of guidelines upon which their diets and eating habits conform. In most cases, there is a tabular guideline that guides people on the kind of foods they should and the ones they shouldn’t take the effect of making sure they lose weight but remain fit. The following is a guideline on the dietary patterns.
Most Nutritious Diet
The most nutritious diet is the Mediterranean. This is because it focuses on the consumption of the various food materials with high fiber content, high energy provision as well as the high rates of digestion. It focuses on the consumption of vegetables, fruits, oils, nuts and seeds as well as the sea foods. It restricts the consumption of red meat which is the cause of various chronic diseases.
Least Nutritious Diet
The least nutritious food is the vegan option. This is because it excludes all forms of the animal products such as dairy products, eggs, meat and the rest, which offer an excellent source of proteins as well as calories generation in the body. It hinders people from getting the desired nutrients, especially children who obtain calcium from milk. This might lead to the problem of rickets where children develop weak bones and might eventually develop health problems.
Fad Diets
The fad diets usually result in the provision of the best strategies for the weight loss. There are various fad diets in the world that are very popular. Among these include the Atkins Diet, the General Motor’s Diet, the Cookie Diet, the Baby Food diet, the vegetarian diet among other diets (Nordqvist n.p). Of these popular, I pick the Atkins Diet, which is meant to control the amount of insulin in the human body through the consumption of high percentages of proteins. This strategy aims to avoid the consumption of refined carbohydrates that are termed as the cause of high levels of insulin in the body. This later causes the generation of health-related issues. This strategy gained fame because people were losing weight with fewer efforts and strain (Mazziotta n. p). It gained popularity because it was associated with the prevention of various diseases such as high blood pressure, diabetes as well as metabolic systems (Mayo n.p).
