Disability is a condition that restricts a person’s mental, or mobility and capability of performing a task. It is a culture, social, and political phenomenon. A person with permanent disabilities must seek assistances from special cohort coordinator.
Permanent disabilities
Developmental delay
These are certain development conditions an infant do not meet such as crawling, walking, or developing hand eye coordination. Developmental delay may be as a result of severe conditions or developmental disability in an infant.
Communication disability
This is the disability of being unable to articulate or vocalize words. Communication disability may also include ability to articulate or vocalize words in unexpected or uncontrollable in relation with physical and behavioral factors.
Intellectual disability
Also known as cognitive disability, it is characterized by difficulty in attaining thinking or reasonable skills as a result of mental retardation. The condition is caused by result of disorder in the brains parts which control intellectual functioning. On the hand the individual with this disorder can learn but take longer to attain certain skills.
Visual processing disability
The disability is a result of the brains failing to process the information learned by the eyes but not the disabilities of the eyes with inability to receive the material. The individual with visual processing have difficulty in remembering related language tasks.
Physical disability
Vision impairment disability
In this disorder, the individual have low or no vision even with eyeglasses or contact lenses. The disorder can change from mild to severe if no medical attention. It is caused by eye diseases, eye injuries and birth conditions.
Deaf disability
The individual have loss of the ability to detect sounds or certain frequencies. Deafness can range from mild to severe resulting to partially deafness and total deafness. Ear diseases cause these disorders if untreated in advance.
Behavioral disability
This is a psychological disability; it is associated with typical behaviors that result into negative impact on the individual. Conditions such as mood, personality, and anxiety may be categories of diagnosis. These conditions are treated successful by use of therapy intervention or medication.
