Google is a multinational company that has specialized in internet-related products and services such as cloud computing, search, and online advertising technologies and software. It has research tools that enable individuals to get ideas and information that they need. This provides a great scaffold for students especially those who struggle with writing but also it has in-house tools for everyone to utilize in gathering information, videos, citation references, images as well as vocabularies. Since its foundation and registration as a domain, it has become a significant source of information. Google provides a variety of tools that enables individuals and students learning easier and more interesting (Ansaldo, 2015).
Google has a search engine tool that allows individuals search for all the information they want. It is the most popular search site in the world handling over three billion queries every day. Google has a translate tool that can change information into over 90 languages. This is very useful when translating information to enhance communication (Ansaldo, 2015). Google has become a fundamental website especially on the writing of research and formulating bibliographies. It has a tool Google Earth that takes individuals on visual tours well complimented by Google images (Papagiannis).
Google Books and Google Scholar tools provide scholarly research materials for students, and these search engines point students to the right literature. These tools also have engines that enable students to cite sources used in information search (Papagiannis). It is, however, important to provide training to the students on how to cite sources used appropriately according to the style used in writing. As a teacher with all these research tools being presented, it is very important for me to help my students on how to cite probably through proper and intense training on the internet sources and how well they need to be cited.
