Bayside is located within Queens Borough. It is a very affluent middle class community comparable to Douglaston and Middle neck. As such, by the 20th 21st centuries Bayside has emerged into a movie theater territory attracting actors, industries and the wealthy (McKay, 2008).

This educational attainment is subsided by the presence of 20 elementary schools; 5 middle schools; 7 high schools, private and public, which are managed by the New York City Department of Education District 26 polices. To date this is the highest performing educational district within the Queens Borough. The Queens Borough Community College and Library enhance educational attainment of residents across various life spans (McKay, 2008).

Bayside Yankees and Bayside Little League are basketball teams found in the community. Bayside Little League is the largest in Queens Borough encompassing some 1,000 children stretching across the ages of 8 – 18. Out of school kids and adults are also welcomed to participate in basketball training. This recreational pursuit is facilitated by eight well-kept parks accessible to residents and visitors of Bayside (McKay, 2008).
