Fear drives people to do incredible things to escape the harsh consequences. The same thing drove the main character of the movie Dracula Untold, Prince Vlad, to protect his kingdom from enemies. Everyone who has watched this film can attest to the fact that it is intriguing. Some bloggers call it vague and dull, but an individual is entitled to his or her view. The aim of this article, however, is not to review this particular film. Instead, it will evaluate the components of the movie such as the scene arrangement, sexuality, gender, race, use of color and costumes. These contents are also a part of the making of the movie; hence, they deserve attention.
Framestore was the company behind the color in the Dracula Untold. The unique transformation of Vlad into a vampire were memorable and crafted in a remarkable expertise. The film uses CG bats, skin work, cloth and other effects to create a liquid look in each scene. To design the variations, Framestore utilized resolutions that possess wide and nearer shots to realize the color and a 3D effect. The movie portrays sex and nudity where the man is shown naked waist up while taking a bath and the implied sex between Prince Vlad and his wife, Mirena. There are also scenes of passionate kissing that add to the use of sexuality in Dracula Untold (Garry, Dracula Untold).
According to Garry (Dracula Untold), the sequence of the different scenes is intense since it shows sensuality, warfare, disturbing images and vampire attacks. Some of the pictures can be disturbing to children; hence, the certified age for viewing is above thirteen years. The scenes flow and express continuity to create an urge to watch the film. Due to the warfare, most of the characters in Dracula Untold are male. The film is acted by white men who are in a battle to concur new lands and soldiers for their armies. The costumes they wear remind a person of Halloween because of the medieval and ancient expression they give. All this effects promote the aim of the movie to narrate a fictional and entertaining story to the audience.
