There will always be certain kinds of ads that appeal to people. Some of them are positive in tone, while others are rather negative in tone. However, if people all had the same interests, the world would be a boring place. Now, while there are many ads that appeal to different people, there were two kinds that I have chosen which stand out to me the most. They are as follows: bud light ads and Honda Civic ads as well. Though both products are ones that have been advertised for some time now, they still have an appeal about them and continue to draw new people in every day as well. When it comes to bud light, this was one of my favorite ads to analyze, because of the fact that it is a refreshing drink. Honda was also looked into as well, though I am not into cars as much as cool drink. Moreover, through five bud light ads, I was easily able to analyze how the ads are effective to people in a positive manner. And overall, I would say that the overall theme of bud light has to do with feeling a sense of security and warmth.
The first ad that was analyzed for bud light was one that showed how refreshing and crisp the drink is. For example; the first bud light ad showed a close up of the drink splashing in an ice cooler. This is a show and don’t tell example of how when it comes to certain advertising, it has an ability of leaving the audience to figure out what is being said. And I feel like this is the best way to go for some ads. Moreover, there were other bud light ads that I looked at as well. In another one, the audience is shown attractive female in bikinis drinking. I believe that this is trying to get people to realize that even beautiful ladies can find well-advertised drinks appealing, especially on a hot summer day. Some other bud light ads showed the following: people socializing and watching a sunset while drink bud light, advertising the drink at a western studio, and there was even a bud light as which showed that sometimes money is power. Now furthermore, the other ads that I decided to analyze involved cars, but more specifically a Honda Civic.
The Honda is the kind of car that has been around for a very long time. However, it is only very recently that there have been advancements such as the Honda Civic. Moreover, with the new features that the Honda Civic features in comparison to the old cars, this is another way to appeal to people who may be skeptical about buying cars from bad experiences. It is also important to discuss the Honda Civic ads that were analyzed as well, as just like Bud light, I felt like the major theme for the presented ads had to do with security.
The first Honda Civic ad that I analyzed was rather simple, but it showed off the type of vehicle in a robust tropical area. I believe this is supposed to represent the fact that when a person has a Honda Civic, they can use their new vehicles to go places that people may have not wanted to go previously due to car issues. The second ad for the Honda Civic was one that said, “Sometimes the hardest decision is yourself”. In this ads, three types of models were shown off of the Honda Civic, and I believe this is supposed to represent the fact that sometimes people can have a hard time choosing something grand, even if it just a model of a different color. Some other Honda Civic ads that were shown off give the viewer a sense of security through showing off the inside of the vehicle which has technological advancements, and also a comparison as to how a Honda was before the Honda Civic came about today.
In closing, both ads types are very appealing to me, and the advertisers did a very good job at now only making the product appealing, but they also do an excellent job at letting the audience know why the product is worth their time as well.
