With certain types of consumers, Coca Cola is targeting different types of people. For example; diet coke and coke zero are for those who want to watch their calories and lose weight. As for diet coke plus, it adds more flavor than regular diet coke, appealing to more consumers. However, Cola Blak and Blue Demon are aimed towards those who are not looking at changing their calories and diet. Now, as for the products themselves, it is important to keep a balance in regards to what some people prefer, and what some do not prefer. If this does not happen, then customers will be lost. For example; to keep the coca cola customer base strong, there should be a balance between diet coke for those who want to watch what they consume, and regular coke for everyone else. As for the whole situation involving the hidden camera, it did seem a little harsh. However, it was still an interesting way to see how people react to things when they do not believe they are being recorded. Regardless, I feel like having hidden cameras are a poor way to promote feelings about certain brands of coke. Lastly, I find it ridiculous that diet coke is a drink that seems to be advertised as one that only appeals to men. The reason being, is because anyone can drink diet coke, and the fact that something associated with diet is targeted towards women, is another example of gender labels that are placed on society nowadays. Overall, I feel like if diet coke was advertised as being targeted more towards both men and women, then more men would not mind drinking it, because it would not come off as a drink that has a sexist label on it.
